Golf coaching is all about you and what you want to get out of your game. Here at The Glamorganshire Golf Club Pro Shop, we pride ourselves on being good listeners and aim to provide the best possible professional advice, whilst ensuring each lesson is tailored and enjoyable for the golfer.

Why Coaching?

Here at The Glamorganshire Golf Club Pro Shop, we’re passionate about helping you play better golf.

Every golfer enjoys the game more when they’re hitting good shots and playing well. This is our mission for you.

Think back to your last few rounds and try to pinpoint an area that cost you shots…

Maybe, you had too many three-putts as a result of poor distance control? Or did you miss too many fairways to the right meaning you had to chip out sideways? It could be that you play well in practice rounds with your friends but struggle to replicate that in competitions?

With Delwyn and James’s experiences in the game and the PGA education system, they appreciate that every golfer is different. That’s why we offer a range of lessons and packages to suit everyone.

Lessons will cover:

  • Golf Fundamentals
  • Swing Basics
  • Short Game
  • Long Game
  • Course Management

Patrick Addis - Golf Operations Manager

My golfing life started in the millennium aged ten in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Later in life I earnt a National Diploma and Btec in golf studies after two years at Hartpury College. After around a decade in the motor industry away from golf and home, I secured a weekend job at Sandy Lodge GC as well as working part time in the American Golf store at Much Hadham GC, soon working exclusively full time at Sandy Lodge in Hertfordshire. During the pandemic I moved back closer to home in a seasonal role at Celtic Manor Twenty Ten Club, accepting a full time role shortly after, then finally being promoted to administrator for my last year with the resort. This brings me to the current day and my position as Golf Operations Manager here at the Glamorganshire GC. Every day, I absolutely love my day to day dealings with people, whether they be members or visitors and look forward to seeing and serving you soon.
